Confirming / Changing Registration

Once you have completed registration for the NYSTCE, you will be sent an admission ticket for each exam. You must bring all of your admission tickets with you on the day of the exam. Each admission ticket contains the following information: the name of the test; your NYSTCE identification number; the test date and location; and the reporting time. It is a good idea to make a photocopy of all of your admission tickets for your records. Once you receive your admission ticket, you should confirm your registration online. In order to do this, you will need your NYSTCE identification number. You can also confirm your registration over the phone or by e-mail.


If you need to change something about your registration, or if your admission ticket contains any incorrect information, you can submit a change request online or by mail. Some changes may require a small fee. Also, there are time limits for most changes related to the NYSTCE. For instance, if you want to add a test, withdraw from a test, or change your test date, area, or selection, you must do so by 5 pm of the late registration deadline for the test for which you are registered. You should also note that some change requests may be denied because of space limitations.
